Praline Pecan French Toast


8 eggs
8 slices french bread (3/4″ thick)
1-1/2c half & half
1/2c butter or margarine
3/4c brown sugar
1T brown sugar
1/2c maple syrup
2T vanilla
3/4c pecans

Blend eggs, half & half, 1T brown sugar and vanilla. Put HALF this mixture into a 13×9 glass dish. Add bread, pour remainder of mixture over the bread. Refrigerate overnight.

In the morning in another 13×9 glass dish; melt butter, add sugar, syrup, and nuts. Place soaked bread on top of the nut nut mixture.

Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes until puffed and brown. Can cook longer to get outside a little crispy. Serves 6-9 people.
